This Labor Day Weekend, we're taking church off campus and onto the courts for our annual Pickle Ball & Jesus (PB&J) celebration! Instead of our regular Sunday services, join us on Sunday, September 6th from 9 AM to 2 PM at Chicken N Pickle in Overland Park for a full morning of community, worshipful fellowship, food, games, and of course plenty of pickleball.

We'll be serving a delicious breakfast from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM, including biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, and toast. Whether you're competing in the tournament, bringing the family for some open play, or just coming to hang out and enjoy the morning with friends, we ask that every single person who plans to attend registers in advance. This includes children and anyone not playing in the tournament. Since this is an off campus event, having accurate numbers is essential for food preparation and tournament brackets.

The highlight of the morning will be our Pickleball Tournament, open to ages 13 and up. The tournament will follow a double elimination format (subject to change based on the number of teams) and will be split into novice, intermediate, and advanced brackets. Each team will consist of two players, and teams may be mixed gender or same gender. You're welcome to bring a friend as your partner, even if they don't attend OPCC, just be sure to include them in your registration. If you don't have a partner, no worries, we'll pair you up with someone in your bracket.

For those not participating in the tournament, there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy throughout the day, including bocce ball, shuffleboard, corn hole, yard games, and open play pickleball. It's a great chance to connect with others, invite new friends, and enjoy the long weekend in a fun and meaningful way.

A couple of quick notes on registering: if you're not playing in the tournament, one form can cover your whole family, kids 12 and under included, along with any 13+ family members who aren't competing. If you are playing in the tournament, each pair only needs to submit one form together; if your partner has already registered you, you don't need to fill one out yourself.

Again, we ask that everyone planning to attend, whether you're competing, spectating, or just eating, register ahead of time. This helps us provide the best experience possible and ensure no one goes hungry and everyone gets to play.
